This sounds customer service related, so I'd suggest getting in touch with the relevant team here.

None of this fixes the sync issue. Answer the question. When is the next update going to be?

I am not too sure what you're referring to. Regardless, this is the Amazon Developer forum, so if you're having issues with the customer product of Amazon Drive, please get in touch with the team using the link provided who should be able to assist further.

Problem is that file timestamp is removed once the file is uploaded on Amazon Cloud. This is a real problem for people managing their backup/sync with a different software than the one provided by Amazon. I'm sad to say that I will have to find a different cloud solution. Note that this is the same issue on Dropbox, but looks to work fine on Google Drive (but Google Drive is too expensive).

There's no relevant team to speak with concerning this situation.

So it looks like nothing will be changed from Amazon end, as the oldest post has now 2 years old.

Can't understand that Amazon developer has no reaction.

I have also noticed that foldes with many files are only available for the 120 first file only on amazon web site.

Sad to see so less effort to have something working fine :(

The reason you have pesky customers leaking over to the dev forum is that your desktop sync client is a pile of doodoo and your "support" team has no idea what to do and apparently no access to the development team. Seriously, do your company and all your customers a favor and get this thread in front of someone that can work on this:

https://www.amazon.com/Sync-is-stuck/forum/Fx2JVSGBJXYV5M1/Tx3UUV089G9L5QZ/1/ref=cm_cd_fp_ef_tft_tp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B00A11AN6O

There are similar threads, but that one covers the issue well enough.

There are a number of easy to reproduce scenarios there. Basically try to sync a filename the client doesn't like...

I switched from Google Drive to Amazon Drive because their price point for going from 100GB to 1 TB was too high. Now after dealing with all these syncing issues, I'm realizing that going for the cheaper Amazon Drive plan was clearly a mistake. I'm dealing with this and other issues that I never even had to think about when I had Google Drive. I assumed that Amazon Drive would run as smoothly as its other divisions (Prime video/shipping/etc.) but sadly I was mistaken. The desktop app needs work - a lot of work and I hope that it eventually becomes a comparable product to Google Drive, which is what I thought I was paying for.

Amazon Sync is worthless. It shouldn't be released if it doesn't work.

I think we all had high expectations of Amazon Drive and were deceived.

I had the same problem. Many different files get suck syncing. The Amazon drive client app for Windows 10 simply stinks. I hope they fix the issues but it is basically unusable (as of April 2018) even if the price/gb is very low.

I am having the same issue. I have nearly 100,000 files that are constantly being uploaded over and over. I thought it was supposed to just continuously look for differences and only upload files that have changed? Its basically running my computer 24/7 with uploads.

Same problem here. I recently switched from Dropbox to Amazon Drive. The sync hangs up with 22 files remaining. The files are .jpg files with normal names generated by a camera (e.g. DSC_0108.JPG). Status for all files switches between "In Progress" (very briefly) but most of the time it's "Waiting".

The Amazon Drive client uses up almost 100% of the CPU heating up my machine and making it unusable. Two issues that make matters worse: When I pause synching the client stops responding. When I kill the client it is automatically reinvoked.

After I removed some of the files it can't sync it suddenly reports "Completed". But 18 jpg files are still on the list. One of them showing status "In progress", the others showing status "Waiting"

At least the client seems to have some crippling bugs.

I cannot see a way to obtain diagnostics or other information to determine why the remaining 22 files don't sync and keep the client so busy.

So I'm stuck.

When is a SW update of the client scheduled?

With Dropbox I never had such problems.
