Higher minimum Android API level requires higher version code

I posted this by mistake in the Alexa forums .... can an admin delete from the other forum please? the post is here: https://forums.developer.amazon.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=6021&tstart=0 Heere's a copy & paste from my previous post I have been trying to update my game but I keep getting this error: Failed to upload binary. Higher minimum Android API level requires higher version code. Contact us for more information. I have already sent a "Contact Us" form about my problem, I haven't received an answer yet. App is around 8mb size The version code and version name are both different from my previous release. Is there anything I can do to solve this?

Thank you for your assistance. Completely removing the binaries for the new veersion and re-uploading them worked wonders.
