let the Triby identify every member of a household

About this article: http://www.theverge.com/2016/1/7/10719202/amazon-alexa-ces-2016-takeover-smart-home Specifically, about this paragraph: "Invoxia is currently working on a software feature that, when combined with Alexa, will let the Triby identify every member of a household and prevent certain users, like an eight-year-old child, from ordering a truckload of candy on Amazon." Is this pure vaporware, or is this real? Does anyone know how it will work? Would Invoxia estimate whose voice is speaking, and then send that along in the JSON that is delivered to the web service? Does anyone know where I can more details about this?

Note: it's their own custom hardware. It's not an Echo. Odds are they are doing some sort of voice distinction in their own hardware layer. They probably just cut the Alexa access if they detect an unknown or kid's voice. Really, this is just marketing speech. Until it gets to the point where it can be reviewed you aren't going to know how workable the feature is. There's nothing new there in theory. It's a question of how many false positives and negatives there are in practice that will sink or swim it.
