What are the possible fields for meta data when using the default receiver

Hi,

I've just started implementing Fling capabilities into an iOS app and it's working really well. Certainly less fiddly than Google Cast!

I'm casting both video and audio and would like to know the possible fields that can be used for the default receiver app on the Fire TV.

So far, I've found type, title, description and poster. The first 3 work as expected. I was hoping that passing a URL in the poster field would allow cover art to be displayed on the screen but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Hopefully this is documented somewhere?

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich,

Thanks for posting! The metadata JSON format is documented here: https://developer.amazon.com/public/apis/experience/fling/docs/working-with-built-in-receiver-on-fire-tv#format-of-the-metadata-json

The cover art URL is applicable for audio clips being sent to the Fire TV. As long as they are in compatible format, they will be displayed while the audio clip is being played. The supported media formats can be found here: https://developer.amazon.com/public/solutions/devices/fire-tv/docs/device-and-platform-specifications
