Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to content-eu.drive.amazonaws.com:443

Hello there,

One of our users keeps encountering "Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to content-eu.drive.amazonaws.com:443" when uploading some files. However, other files could be successfully uploaded without this error at the same time. Moreover, for those files with this specific error, they could be successfully uploaded after a period. (from a few minutes to a few hours)

Is there any possible solution to avoid this problem?

Thanks in advance!

  • Was there any similarity between the affected files? All videos, all over X gb, etc?
  • is this still happening now?
  • What was the time range where this started happening?

This problem occurred on a bunch of small files including .jpg, .mp3, .m3u, .php, .css, etc. In addition, these files are related to open source CMS.

This problem is still happening now.

From log, we speculate that this problem keeps occurring since February 21, 2017.
