Using Affiliate Links in Mobile Apps

I have launched an app in the Amazon underground store and contained within my app are various affiliate links to amazon products. I am wondering if these links would work if they are contained within the app or if they only work when used via a webpage on the users PC. Should I be using a different type of link or the API/SDK for mobile associates? Any advice appreciated.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting! You can use affiliate links in your mobile apps, as explained here:

https://developer.amazon.com/mobile-associates

the links should work, but I believe at the moment they will open in the web browser, rather than the client app. Thanks!

Its not working when the link open within the client app. It reduced my earning since my traffic is from app.

The link does not work anymore. It redirects to the home page.

Hi,

Glad somekne asked this question. I have same problem, most of my visitors come from social media sites. Most apps now open websites within app and currently that doesn’t count as my referrals and so my earning reduced a lot. Anyway this can be fixed?

Looking for a quick solution for this.

Thanks

Regarding this problem, there is entire help section "mobile" accessible via link:

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help
Short answer: Anything related to WebView will not yield income and, as i understand, Amazon content will not be displayed at all in app.

p.s. I tried to display Native shopping ad inside my custom testing application (Android). It didn't load any content, while my random Google Sites page displayed everything without issues.
