when trying to download app getting error: ' is incompatible with your device'

Hi,

We published app on test on amazon store. Devices we're testing on are isted amongst compatible devices on app settings page. We're testing on following devices:

Fire HD 6 (4th Generation)

Kindle Fire HDX (3rd Generation)

Fire HDX 9.8 (4th Generation)

following sdk versions are set in android manifest:

<uses-sdk android:targetSdkVersion="19"/>
<uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="9"/>

app is made in flash builder / air

When we're trying to download the app from the store we're getting error message: error: '<appname> is incompatible with your device' so we're unable to download / install app from the store but the same app can be installed manually on those devices and is working. Where can be possible issue? I followed 'targeting devices' instructions, googled about similar issues but without much luck. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank You

Hi there,

Thanks for posting! This is related to changes in Android N signature. You can login to your Dev Portal account and raise a Contact Us case with us specifying the app name (which you have already done and we have asked the Appstore team to add signature to your app).

Normally, to resolve this from your side, you can simply resubmit your app, and this will install the compatible Android N signature and it would notify users there is an update. The signature is required to allow communication between the developer's app and the Appstore for tasks such as in app purchases. Thanks!
