Device Name Length

What is the maximum (recommended) length a Device Name can be? In the application we are interfacing with, the device names can be quite lengthy. Does Alexa impose a limit?

re: 'Alexa, turn on The Light at the end of the Hall by the Bathroom'

It is for developing my own. I'm referring to the device names an end user will use to, for example, turn on/off a light.
