Is anyone getting tiered up right now ?

Seems to be a lot of confusion on getting tiered up. Many people eligible by sales, including myself, but haven't heard of anyone getting tiered up for a long time. Someone thought there may be a hold until January. Is this true? Very frustrating during Q4 to not be able to add more designs.

Hi I am going with the same issue and all i can think is there is part where is said not just t-shirt sold but the quality of the design also. and my questions was, how do I know if my designs are high quality and they are not high quality why they let my t-shirt go live. i have sold 12 each and i have not tier ups to the 25 level... this is very frustrating

I emailed them and they said they are tiering up selectively (based on quality, not just quantity sold) and it's not automatic just because you have reached another tier. With all these tech problems I can't see them tiering most people up before 2017 but hope I'm wrong.

Does that mean some of us will never tier up? I have no idea if my designs are up to par with the tier up standards. Or will I get tiered up too eventually but just a little later than some? Been waiting for weeks now

Perhaps that's the case right now due to the tech problems. Maybe after all that is resolved or after the Holiday rush, that won't be the case. I sort of took that as the protocol "right now" while there are issues with capacity, processing bugs, etc. Fingers crossed!

Hi All

New to this but if you read the terms, the tier up isn't based on just sales. The Merch team hand select creators to tier up. As mentioned, I'm new to this and didn't realise myself, so something to take into consideration. See quote from the terms below. . . . .

'The Merch by Amazon team will be hand-selecting content creators who have sold the same amount of t-shirts as the number of the tier they are in. For example – to move up from the 25 tier, a content creator will need to sell at least 25 shirts from those they have created to move up to the 100 tier. Admission to these tiers are based not only on sales, but the quality of the products being sold by the content creator as well.

Hope this helps

I've also sold 100+ but not tiering up. It's Amazon's service. They do whatever they like. I also emailed and got the same vague answer.

sold over 200 and still never been tiered up, been several months now and just getting all my designs stolen as well...I think if this continues i'll delete all my designs, i'm not benefiting from my own work as I've worked hard just to get treated like rubbish and ripped off by the PROTECTED MERCH OWNED accounts (no doubt family of amazon employees who are allowed to sell thousands of fakes and copies and still have dark colors available to them

Yep. The days of getting tiered up just because you sell enough for that tier are over. I'm not going to get my hopes of getting tiered up from 25 --- even in January and I've sold over 200. I think it's all about quality so I'm just going to try to make the best of my 25 slots and not worry about it anymore. (Easier said than done. lol) People have been tiered up from 25 and started after me (October) and have sold less. So they are clearly looking at how good your designs are and not just quantity.

But surely, it makes sense that if the designs are selling they are good and the customer is liking them. Should Amazon be the ones judging quality or the customer? If they clearly like the designs and are buying then that should show that they are quality? Maybe I'm missing something here?

No its nothing to do with quality, ive sold over 200 and mine are all top notch original art.MINE ALL SELL WELL..but as soon as they start selling the big accounts steal you work and offer it cheaper, you have to file infringements and merch rarely remove the copycats..the fakes are even ranking higher than my originals now !!...I suspect Merch employers are behind this scam passing on best seller items to boyfriends & husbands to copy

Why would they tier anyone up right now? We can't even add shirts! My guess is that their focus, and system resources, is all directed toward getting out the enormous volume of Christmas orders coming in. I'm glad they are concerned about my customers getting their shirts when promised.

I've never had a delay getting tiered up so I'm sure it will come. After the busy season.

How can a person run a business If they can't even read the messages ***on the first page*** of Merch and understand that there are limitations because of the volume of sales etc?

You don't need to be smart to run any business, most actors & pop stars are millionaires and totally illiterate, you only need good ideas

No, that is not true. Conversely, actors and pop stars

have a higher literacy percentage than any profession other than Education.

I think the logic is pretty evident.

What actor's and singer's are illiterate?

Just name a couple of them, cause I can't think of any.

I sold more than 25 t-shirts, but only 10 different designs are selling right now. If they are now focusing on quality, maybe I need 25 different designs to sell, to getting tiered up from 25?

I've wondered that too. I have 19 designs up now and 10 are selling. I've always wondered if they look at how many DIFFERENT designs you're selling when they selectively tier you up.

It's just on hold, it's very selective and not automatic. There are lots and lots of designers who would have tiered up in the last few months but haven't yet.
