Does the Home Skills API support ad-hoc queries / commands?

I'd like to know if the Home Skills API can support me querying temperature and other environmental statistics from devices which only monitor but cannot control the environment.

The reference API for home skills appears to be quite limited, but with the regular API I can parse custom intents / slots.

This is how far I got with setting custom colours - the next thing I want to work on is to query pressure/temperature etc using the Home Skills API.

It cannot, although you could implement this functionality through a custom skill, if so desired, aolthough you wouldn't be able to get the one-shot voice model of the smarthome API.

Is there a way for us to submit a request to add certain Smart Home Skill interfaces?

My organization would like for a HumiditySensor, and AirQualitySensor interface to be added. And I've seen other users on this forum also wanting to use such interfaces.
