Does rejected designs have any negative impact on your merch account?

I haven't had any shirts taken down by amazon before, but I did just get a rejected design. I am wondering if rejected designs have any negative impact? Thanks!

As it says in the rejection email, continued submission of designs which violate Merch by Amazon policies may result in your account being terminated.

You can review our FAQs and Content Policy to make sure that all of your designs comply with our policies.

Thank you for the information. I have made a few mistakes which resulted in rejections. What is the limit? :/

If this is the case more clear guidelines would be appreciated because I had shirts rejected for profanity but the content guidelines does not state this is not allowed. Previously there was no issue with that.

Clearer guidelines would def be helpful! My rejected design doesn't seem to go against anything in the content policy and I have never had a shirt taken down either.

Leia,

We have a situation now where shirt designs with bad words on them are getting rejected, even though there is nothing in the policies to address this.

An additional though on this: Why can't Merch make an announcement about this before they start rejecting these shirts? If there's one area where Merch needs to improve, it's definitely in the area of communications with its shirt designers/sellers.

Agreed! Would be nice to know before hand if something changes regarding policies, especially when changes aren't not even in the policy guidelines

"Please drive this shiny new sports car on the interstate. The speed limits and road laws will not be disclosed or posted but you will receive tickets when you break the laws or limit." The current status of the IP policy as written imho.

Our policies and guidelines have not changed since our launch last September. We have been auditing and removing t-shirts the violate our policies ever since the launch of Merch by Amazon.

The recent development is that we've built resources to review all t-shirts before they go live in order to address catalogue quality before publishing. I understand that you would like clearer guidelines and more information on copyright and we will take this into account as we improve our systems.

A good feature would be if shirts with vulgar terms in the description or features that aren't allowed are prevented from being published before they even reach the review process. Would save a lot of time for all involved.

I like what you are saying, CanadaMediaGuy. Offering more guidance in the workflow before you even hit the submit button is a great suggestion. We just implemented a review process after clicking the button, so this probably won't happen tomorrow. But we're always thinking on next steps.

I've had three rejected for swear words, and no perceived impact on my account yet.

I have just updated my design price and added a few product types to somthing that has been up since 2019 and had them rejected, including my best US selling T-Shirt that I added a few colours to it. If its an update on a product that i have had since 2019 how can it be rejected? this is ridiculous.

Check your text. Possibly a newish trademark. And, once your designs are uploaded and accepted, don't add anything.
