How to connect to Fibaro Home Center 2 with the new Smart Home Skill?

Dear Experts,

I love the idea of the new Smart Home Skill. I hope it will be possible that more people will find a way to leverage the power of the Echo to control their smart homes.

Can you please tell me if anybody did a integration with the HC2 from Fibaro without using a own server but rather the AWS Lambda?

The Fibaro (http://www.fibaro.com) can be controlled by simple URLs: http://XXX/api/callAction?deviceID=164&name=pressButton&arg1=34 This URL initiates for instance to turn on my TV. But I do not need and do not have any authentication.

As far as I know Fibaro has no OAuth 2.0. Is there any way that I can just initiate this simple URL using the new Smart Home Skill?

This would be fantastic.

Alex, I did that for the Vera (which also does not have OAuth). You'd need to adapt it for the HC2, but code should give you the right pointers for doing it; https://github.com/mmillmor/AmazonEcho-to-Vera Martin

Thank you Martin. Option 1 to use the Login with Amazon as credentials sounds interesting. As I am not a experts it will be hard for me to follow the coding. But I will try once I learn more about it :-) I would wish that at some point Amazon makes things a little easier. Just imagine the endless possibilities if no higher degree in computer science would be required to connect simple home automation to the Echo :-) For now thank you for the help! Cheers, Alex

Figured out how to make a simple URL call. You'll need to go through the Skill Kit step-by-step. But once you're ready to actually create your Lambda function, this guys site gave me a streamlined example that helped me put it all together:

HI, As i can read in the Fibaro forum There is already a Skilln made. Only it is waiting for certification. by Amzone. Why is that taking so long??

I am not a programmer so AMAZONE ... PLEASE make that Skill afailble...!
