Hello,
I have an application that is under the GPL v3 License, which I have modified, rebranded and submitted on the app store.
The application keeps failing submission with the following generic reason:
"Protecting intellectual property rights is important to us. Please provide documentation demonstrating that you have the right to xxxxxx in title, description, images and inapp. The documentation must be either a confirmation letter from the intellectual property rights holder or a copy of the applicable license.
The application in question is: xxxxxx”
I have responded to this 3 times now, clarifying that the application in question is under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE (Version 3).
Which clearly states, my permission to modify it:
"Developers that use the GNU GPL protect your rights with two steps: (1) assert copyright on the software, and (2) offer you this License giving you legal permission to copy, distribute and/or modify it."
And in addition to the above, the title, descrpitions, and media I have uploaded with the submission belong to me.
So why is this failing submission? And why is support not getting back to me.
Thank you,
Awais
