User Reviews for Apps - too hard?

It's pretty common knowledge reviews and ratings on the Amazon App Store are an important part of marketing for developers. Having now had 5000 downloads of my game app on Amazon App Store I was curious as to why I only managed to get 3 reviews, comparing this to my download number+reviews on Google Play, I would expect 31 reviews for 5000 downloads. I'm pretty sure this is down to need for people to write a minimum 20 word review on Amazon. I can understand this is a good policy for other products but expecting people who play games to do this seems a bit much to me and in practise. Is there a chance the system for apps could be changed to give the user the option to simply rate the game 1-5 stars, or even write a shorter review? Message was edited by: gmtdev

As users can give reviews after 48hours of download. it decreases the probabilty of giving reviews by user after downloading and using. That 48 hours waiting period should be removed so that users can instantly give reviews rather than waiting which generally users won't.
