Maps available off line

Is there any capability for offline use of the maps, or is it strictly network required like Google? I'd like the capability to use the maps when no cell service is available.

Hi Jon, currently Amazon Maps requires internet to access Maps. However, we are following up on your question for offline access of Maps and we will hope to have an answer soon. Thank you.
