How do I send custom command(using custom skill) to AVS enabled device?

I'm newby to ALEXA.

I have AVS enabled device. I want to send custom command (like turn on LED) to my AVS enabled device. But I didn't found(or I miss) any sample code.

Is it possible? how?

Does anyone know a simple sample code or hint to create this feature?
