Spell check of invocation name in Example Phrases

I am trying to update an existing skill, but I cannot get past the Store Preview page.

The skill plays audio for a local radio station, Soundwave North Devon. The invocation is soundwave north devon.

In the Example Phrases field, the system spell checks my invocation name and detects Soundwave as a spelling error, which then causes a validation error and prevents the form submitting.

There is no spelling error, just a word that the system doesn't recognize. Is there any way to override the spell checker to allow the update?

Hi Matt thanks for flagging your concern. Spell-check has been added as a warning to assist developers avoid spelling errors. Once you hit the Save button, all information in the Distribution tab is saved and you can proceed to next steps.

Thank you. Yes, once I clicked save, it allowed me to select the next step from the menu. It would be nice however, if it was made clearer that it was just a warning and you could ignore it by selecting the next step

Argh! I just typed a reponse but the stupid forum s/w ignored it.

Anyway, I can replicate your issue so it looks like Amazon have messed up.

I would raise a support case and also join the Alexa slack and post this up in the #general channel.

There are Amazon people on the slack channel and it's the quickest way of getting things like this highlighted. It's at alexa.design/slack
