Hello,
This note contains a concern and a question about Amazon Music…and I will greatly appreciate a response from someone senior and knowledgeable at Amazon Music.
I have an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription that I have been using to stream music to my Amazon Echo devices...mostly for background music.
I also have a high-end stereo system (with separate components) that I use for serious listening.
Recently I decided to add a streaming device to my stereo system. Because I already have an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription I decided to select a streamer that supports Amazon Music HD.
Based on claims on their website, I spent $2,700 to buy a Silent Angel Munich M1T streaming device, a Silent Angel Forester F1 Linear Power Supply, a DC cable, an Ethernet cable and a USB cable.
I installed all of the equipment only to find to my amazement and dismay that Silent Angel recently removed Amazon Music HD functionality from their M1T (and other) streaming device. So I now have $2,700 of equipment that is sitting idle…and I am trying to determine what I should do with it.
I have been engaged in an email exchange with the CTO of Silent Angel trying to find out why Amazon Music functionality was withdrawn from the M1T (and other) streaming device…and more importantly when it will be restored.
The CTO has been vague in his responses…but he seems to be pointing at Amazon as the party that is holding things up…and consequently he says that he cannot give me a restore date.
So my concern is why is Amazon dragging its feet in this matter…and more importantly when will Amazon solve their side of whatever the problem is.
I thank you in advance for your response.
