Arduino skill cannot trigger Alexa routines

Made motion sensor with Esp32 and Arduino IOT Cloud. Linked with Arduino skill. Sensor is available under devices and shows "Motion detected" & "No motion detected" in Alexa app. However if I want to make a Alexa routine the device cannot be used as a trigger. What is causing this? Is this a security issue?
