I know this was asked and suggested to user voice, but that was FOUR years ago, and we still can't give a device multiple friendly names?
I have a lamp, that by creating multiple devices in my discovery response and some fancy footwork in my skill is called -
- Lounge lamp
- living room lamp
- front room lamp
- lounge light
- living room light
- front room light
but having done similar with dozens of devices, my device list in the Alexa app has become a total mess and I'm in danger of hitting the 300 device limit.
it's a much better user experience to be able to use the name for something that you're used to rather than having to remember the one designated name, so I'm shocked this is still not possible
