Fire TV Web Apps Still supported?

So I'm looking into building an app for publishing our content on Amazon Fire Tv... Looking through Documentation I still see "web app" as a method however, the documentation seems to be "fragmented" maybe is the word.

So this video (posted in 2017) talks about the web app starter kit... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJw0B_l_rso

Yet, the github repo is archived.... and this page (updated in 2016... ) says it's be archived and is no longer supported.. https://developer.amazon.com/docs/fire-tv/the-web-app-starter-kit-for-fire-tv.html

Yet, directly on this page (https://developer.amazon.com/docs/fire-tv/getting-started-developing-apps-and-games.html) is "Getting started with web apps (Fire TV)"

So, is it still supported? Or not, If it is, is there any example code, implementation guides. I'm sure there are some requirements specific to the OS to run a "web app"
