Alexa APL display image from image data

I would like to display a dynamic image on my skill using APL.

I thought I could do this using an image item and putting a data URI as the source.

But it does not work. I assume that data URI is not supported on APL.

How can I achieve this ?

I don't want to host the temporary image on a web site.

If there was a method to create a file on the S3 storage I would create a temporary file and serve from there. But I could not find anything useful.

I've found a solution creating a file on s3 storage.

Used boto3 module for S3 access and binascii module for base64 decoding


            s3 = boto3.client('s3', region_name=os.environ.get('S3_PERSISTENCE_REGION'), config=boto3.session.Config(signature_version='s3v4',s3={'addressing_style': 'path'}))
            bucket_name = os.environ.get('S3_PERSISTENCE_BUCKET')
