Control by Voice Works, Device doesn't Display properly in App

I can control my thermostat device using voice, but it doesn't load or display properly in the Alexa App.

It says "device unresponsive" on the App even though voice control works.

What am I missing?

Hello and thanks for posting!

The "device is unresponsive" error happens when you are not promptly responding to a "ReportState" request with a "StateReport" response.

Most probably you set your smart home device to be proactively reported.

Please check your CloudWatch logs for any "ReportState" request, and make sure to respond to it accordingly.

Yep, I wasn't reporting everything I had said I was capable of in the Discovery Message. It looks like you're required to report on everything or else it won't load . Thanks
