Has invocation matching got any smarter over the last two years?

When I built my beta custom app 2 years ago I had to use a funky invocation because it was easy for Alexa to mishear the 'sure' part of <mycompany>sure. Sometimes she heard shore or shurr or shar. Now I am revisiting the app and wondering if scored invocation matching has been added ( like intents) so I should try my 'real' invocation again or will it still rely on perfect pronunciation by the user ( even though the skill is known)
