Echo photo slideshow not working?

Currently photo slide show isn't working on many Echo's. Its a recurring complaint across user forums. Screens goes blank or generic wallpaper (but still showing clock still). "Photo of the day" still works though, but rotation slideshow of uploaded Amazon photos do not. I did a factory reset on my Echo's (3) and the slideshow re-appeared for a few days before disappearing again. I took screen photos of the firmware version and there didn't appear to be any change? Appears to have started 1 week in to April.
