JSON http question

Hello,

I've been looking for a solution to my problem for a long time:

I am currently programming an Alexa Skill with the Alexa Smart Home API (https://developer.amazon.com/en-US/docs/alexa/smarthome/steps-to-build-a-smart-home-skill.html) so far everything is running and I can "create" devices, the ultimate goal is to communicate via an HTTP server running on a Raspberry Pi, which should then do things. The part also runs without problems, if I enter the appropriate URL, then the desired output comes up. What I am missing is how I can call a URL in the Lambda function.

I'm looking forward to quick help and hope I've hit the right topic.

Hello and thanks for posting.

You would need to make the HTTP server of the Raspberry Pi accessible via the Internet if you need to communicate with it through a lambda function.

Please also make sure that the response time does not exceed the lambda function timeout.

Kind regards,
Gaetano
