question

I'm creating a skill and discovered that when I say "Alexa, start my vehicle/car," Alexa replies "I can't find any connected vehicles. To add a vehicle, go to the devices section of the Alexa app." Isn't this new? I don't think Alexa understood vehicle as a separate device previously? Or did it? I don't see a separate device category for it apart from vehicle accessory but I guess that is only for devices like dashboard cam etc.
