Is VideoApp.Launch supposed to work on up-to-date Fire HD 10 in show mode?

I have a skill that plays video fine on an Echo Show 5. I recently bought a new Fire HD 10 tablet where the skill also worked fine with Alexa in show mode on the first day, but stopped working after the tablet updated its software. I now get "The target device does not support directives for the LaunchVideoApp interface" when attempting to launch playback.

Is this an intentional change in Fire OS?

I don't know what software my tablet arrived with. It's now running Fire OS 7.3.1.6.

The skill still works fine on my Echo Show 5, which is on Fire OS 6.5.4.1. There have been no changes to the skill since the time it worked fine on the HD 10 on the first day.

Is VideoApp.Launch supposed to work on my Fire HD 10 in show mode on current Fire OS? If so, is there a setting I need to change somewhere to turn it on? Thanks!

Can you please share the Skill-ID you are having these issues with?

Meanwhile I double check about the compatibility with that interface and Fire Tablets.

The docs I was able to find sound like a fire tablet in show mode should work the same as an echo show, so it would be handy to know if that's not actually going to be the case any more for this interface.
