Routine: Can't turn on lights after requesting a song on Spotify

I'm having an issue with the sequence of commands in an Alexa routine.

I can't call a LED Strip Scene after requesting a song on Spotify. I'm able to do the opposite sequence though.

Here is what's working so far:
1. Calling Alexa's routine

2. Turning on a LED Strip Pre-Programmed Scene, which is connected to Alexa via the Magic Home Skill

3. Playing a Spotify song on Echo Dot

The problem with this sequence is that the song takes too long to start, and Alexa makes the first few seconds of it quieter as it seems to be listening for a new command (since its blue light remains on).

I was able to avoid the 'playing quietly' issue by placing the Spotify request as the first item.
But then the LED Strip Scene won't start.

Any guesses on what could be happening?
Thanks

Hello and thanks for posting.

This is the Amazon Developer Forum, where developers come for help with the development of their skills.

If you are having issues with an Alexa feature (like routines), I would suggest getting in touch with customer service who should be able to assist with your matter further.

Alternatively, you can post your questions on the Echo & Alexa customer forum: https://www.amazonforum.com/forums/devices/echo-alexa

Requesting a song should be the LAST step in your routine.

Turn on/off light and after that request the song. This is the right sequence and I am using it since 3 months.
