Amazon's specification page indicates the Fire HD 8 (2020) should support HEVC Main10 1080p Level 4.1 @ 30 fps.
However I can't get any HEVC Main10 file to play hardware accelerated in MX Player Pro and XPlayer, both players force themselves to software mode (choppy) when playing those files. Non 10bit HEVC play hardware accelerated. This is not a limitation of the players I'm using since I can play those files hardware accelerated on my phone.
Am I missing something, shouldn't this work?
