Alexa suddenly started speaking too fast on a customized routine.

I have an Echo Dot near my front door that executes a customized speech routine when my Ring Alarm Doorbell detects motion. It has worked fine for months, but a few days ago, Alexa started speaking 2-3x as fast as normal and now it is very hard to understand. I tried the "Alexa, speak slower" and "Alexa, speak at your default rate", which had no effect. When I ask Alexa a question, she responds at normal speech speed. It is just the routine that she suddenly started speaking at an accelerated rate. Any ideas anyone?

If you are having issues with an Alexa feature, I would suggest getting in touch with customer service who should be able to assist with your matter further.
