App Submission API list edit 412 error

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to implement a plugin for Jenkins to autosubmit new versions of my App throught App Submission API. I already configured all API access and I can get my OAuth token to work with the API without any problems.

But whan I try to list my edits using the API requests:

https://developer.amazon.com/api/appstore/v1/applications/***.***.***/edits

I get this response:

{}

There is an app ready to be submitted and even I did testing between my friends, distributing the app using Live App Testing.

If I try to create a new edit, using the same request but by POST

I get this response:

{"httpCode":412,"message":"Precondition Failed","errors":[{"errorCode":"error_new_version_creation_not_allowed","errorMessage":"Cannot create a new 'edit' for the app in it's current state."}]}

Someone has any idea of what is happening? Important information: my app it's not reviewed nor published. I suspect that I have to do all the process manually on the first time and then only with the application published I will can use the Submission API.

I'm on right?

Thanks

Dani

I was having the same issue and after submitting this for review and released to the AppStore it goes away. Looks like we are not able to create a new Edit if the app was not published (what make a little sense but is still weird)
