Basic Feature Missing that Google Home already has: Recognize fans in group

Can we please get the ability for Alexa groups to recognize the fan in a group the way they recognize the lights? Google Home already has already had this function for a while. Can we at least get a commit date?

I second this. But not just with fans. Other devices too such as TV's, blinds etc.

If I say turn on the "TV" then apply it first to the tv in the same group and then to the TV in the global list (or whatever is selected in that case). That way too if I wanted to control the tv in another room I can specify that but not have to specify the room in the current group.
