Hello, I am trying to make an Alexa skill for an Echo Show 5.
I am however confused as to what payload and viewport mean and are used for.
Could someone help me please?

Hi,

thanks for posting.

The "viewport" key is Included when the user's device has a screen. contains information about the viewport, like its size and shape.

For further details, check Viewport object in the skill request in the Alexa.Presentation.APL Interface Reference or the general Alexa JSON request/response reference here:

https://developer.amazon.com/en-US/docs/alexa/custom-skills/request-and-response-json-reference.html

Thanks,
Gaetano
