Update Alexa Interaction Model outside of Alexa Developer Console

I have built a skill in the Alexa Developer Console and have used the Alexa-hosted option.

I now have a need to update the Interaction Model from a separate standalone function that sits outside of the Alexa Developer Console. To do the update to the model, I think I will need to know both the storage location of the interaction model and also to make sure appropriate write permissions have been granted.

Is this possible? If so, how do I find the correct location path for the interaction model, and how do I grant the write permission? Or will I need to approach this in a different way?

Hi,

thanks for your post.

The interaction model is not "stored" in the backend, the only way to access it "externally" is by using the ASK-CLI (Alexa-hosted skill related reference here), or SMAPI.

Please check the links above to get started.

Kind regards,
Gaetano
