Does the CloudDrive API still work ?

The following refers to what used to be called the CloudDrive API although it may be called something else these days ?

I set up a security profile, whitelisted it, and got a confirmation email that it had been whitelisted (this was back in 2015 and I've only recently picked this project up again, due to issues I was having at the time).

When I try to authorise using the API, I get a '400 Bad Request. An unknown scope was requested' error.

My request URL looks like this: (obviously the <my client ID> bit is replaced by my actual client ID)

https://www.amazon.com/ap/oa?client_id=< my client ID >&scope=clouddrive%3Aread_all%20clouddrive%3Awrite&response_type=code&redirect_uri=http://localhost


Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong, please ?

Thanks for posting! Regrettably, the Amazon Drive API and SDKs are currently closed, even though you whitelisted your app in the past. Thanks!

Well that's dumb. I had an app that was working just fine up until a couple weeks ago when Amazon decided to shut down all 3rd party APIs.

They did not shut down all 3rd party apps. E.g. Transmit from Panic is still working and using the Cloud Drive API. There is not any statement from amazon (which is really unprofessional), but since mid August many 3rd party apps can't authenticate to cloud drive anymore. The only official statement is still "The Amazon Drive API and SDKs are currently closed to new developers". It does not say anything that existing apps are suddenly not working anymore. @Levon@Amazon could you please finally comment on that?

If that is true.. why has Synology's Hyper Backup software continued to work with Amazon Cloud Drive. Recently the issued a patch to make cloud drive a backup target to all their users. Why are some apps OK to integrate Cloud Drive but not others?
