How do beta testers test?

When I add someone to the beta test, he gets an email with a link. The email says "sign in to the Alexa app". What is this Alexa app?

When the Enable Alexa skil "xxx" link in the email is clicked, it attempts to log in and then wants to set up a device, eg Echo Dot. But the user already has a working Echo Dot. Should he continue to set up?

Is the testing done on an actual device, eg Echo Dot, or is it on some web page?

Thanks.

If you want your users to not have to set up new device, etc. make sure, that you are inviting them using their emails, that they are using on their actual devices. Random email of your friend won't work, or as you saw, you'll need to set up a new account.

Also locales matter.

Beta testing can be done on the device. When you invite user and he enables the skill, he will be able to invoke it as any other skill and should be able to use it.
