Firestick TV and Fire TV cannot display 1080i

I beg you to suggest FireStick TV and Fire TV developers to consider adding 1080i resolution to the available resolution set of the device.

Unfortunately, my TVSet cannot cope with 1080p (progressive) but do work with 1080i (interlaced). I have blueray and other devices that works just fine at 1080i, but Firestick does not offer this as an option.

Would be possible to check if the hardware is potentially capable of sending signal in 1080i ?
I can only use 720p, but the image is badly cropped and there are no options for zoom in/out in order to guarantee that the borders stays inside the frame.

Any developer out there that can file this request for a forthcoming firmware update ?

Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 512.0 KiB each and 1.0 MiB total.

I am in the same boat and would love to have 1080i support. Fire TV stick (I have 2nd gen) does not offer 1080i and screen cropping on my Toshiba 42WLT66 due to overscan on 720p is quite significant. Neither the TV nor the Fire TV stick allow to adjust the image so please please add 1080i support.
