We own a Fire Tablet and a Fire TV.
On the Fire Tablet there is the possibility to have a user interface made specifically for children which only shows them content that parents have deemed acceptable. This is great.
On the Fire TV all I can do is set parental controls, but there is no option to have a filtered experience for children like on Netflix.
When we Iaunch Netflix, we are forced to select a profile, and I think this is great. I select the childrens profile and can rest assured that nothing inappropriate, sick, scary or insane will show up.
In recent days we have stopped watching Fire TV content and instead launch Netflix.
I do not understand why Amazon Freetime for example, is not available for the Fire TV. This is not a family/child friendly approach at all.
