APL changes for Fire tablet show mode and third party Fire TV?

Recently (within the last 2 weeks) we noticed that our skill fails to launch on the Fire Tablet and also on a Toshiba Fire TV Edition. The skill tries to start and then fails without rendering any APL. If we disable the APL part of our response and only send audio (like we do for a headless Echo device) then it works fine.

Have there been changes in the expected document for fire tablets or third party fire tvs? Our skill continues to render without issue on the Spot, Show V1 and V2, Fire Cube, and Fire TV Stick

By checking your skill ID, I was able to identify that you are currently working with a BD/SA team here in Amazon. The best way to proceed in this case is to take this issue with them. They have already been notified and I expect them to contact you shortly.
