Does the AVS / Alexa Voice Service SDK allow one to retrieve slot values from the response object?

Good day. I am new to Alexa Development.
I would like to create a web app that integrates Alexa's voice service. I'm using a github repo that extends avs for javascript.
I would like to know if any of the response objects from AVS, If I could get which slots were filled, or which intents were captured, so I could use that data to conditionally display something on my Webapp.
Or is this something i'm supposed to use Lex instead for?
