Modify Existing routines programmatically?

Just getting started with the ASK. Looking for direction on the best way to create/modify Alexa routines programmatically? Essentially, I want to use the “Alexa says...” function but be able to populate it in advance using an external data source. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't think something like this is currently available, but thanks for the great feature request. I'd suggest posting this as a feature request in Uservoice for Alexa over here. It's a great idea!
