Thank you for your question. We are so glad that you are eager to submit more designs through Merch by Amazon. We are growing fast and are working hard to provide the best experience possible to both our content creators and our customers. To achieve this goal, we are selectively tiering some users up.

Please note that we do not evaluate accounts or provide tier upgrade assistance through our support channels. If you’ve reached your tier limit for live designs and would like to upload a new product, we suggest that you delete one of your live listings to free up a slot for the new design.

This goes back to what many have said before--don't put all your eggs into the Merch basket alone...make sure you're diversifying.

I hope Amazon goes back to the old way of tiering up (for example, 500 sales and something like 80% of slots filled to tier up to tier 500).

I’m in tier 2,000 with 2,000 items listed and I hit 2,000 sales on December 3rd, 2018. I was tiered up on December 10th, 2018. I believe that the early tier up test is officially over.

Hi Leroy - I agree with you in that I prefer the format of proving yourself first, have most of your slots filled and then tier up.

Since we do not rule the land of Merch :) we will have to wait and see what Merch determines is the best course of action for tier ups.

With returns being shown in the dashboard now, I really would like to see analytics featuring return reason. Size is something we cannot control but if a designer hits 500 sales and has 498 returns (not related to size, let's say a typo to play devil's advocate) that should be factored into the decision of should the person be tiered up or not.

I think if we have someone aboard 4th quarter who has made, let's say, 25 sales - tiering them at an accelerated rate is not a good idea. They need to fully get their feet wet and understand what is acceptable and not acceptable.

I'd also like to see some type of image detector in place on Merch. It is do-able to create - of course, the cost and effectiveness are open at this time. Ideally - person submits design - exact copy - beep - not allowed to submit.

Copy with say 20 percent different - beep - not allowed to submit.

Before someone says it - the system should be able to detect account it is coming from so if the original designer modifies - he/she does not have the design blocked.

Analytics and image detection - I know both are hefty requests but I think would pay for themselves quickly to make Merch a better machine.

Those of you upset because you haven't tiered up, be happy you have the slots you have. You used to have to sell 100 designs just to make it to 500 tier. When I joined Merch we had to work harder to get those slots by selling the tier amount before even being eligible. I hope they go back to that as well.

Many people in the lower tiers were tiering up early without the original requirements but according to certain FB sources, once you reach the 1000 tier then you need 1000 sales before tiering up to the next level and so on. Apparently, at the higher tiers the original requirement still holds where you need to sell the same number as your tier...I'm not sure if this is in fact the case across the board or just speculation.
