Alexa does not handle special characters in invocation name

Hello,

My skill is in French, I want invocation name to be 'French proverbs' which is 'Proverbes français' in French. Please note the "ç" there. Problem is that when I want to open the skill, it results in the Alexa error sound. If instead I configure the skill with "Proverbes francais" (no ç), it does work, the Lambda code does get the LaunchRequest.

Alexa developers, can you update on the situation of special characters like 'ç' in invocation name?

My skill id is amzn1.ask.skill.37d5f473-4e7a-4b53-a0bc-0f5a34d71082, it is now live with 'Proverbes français' invocation name, cannot get any LaunchRequest, but I do get the IntentRequests.
