Is it possible to create an AVS app that accepts already existed mp3 files on my RaspberryPi?

I am attempting to create a java client that sends mp3 files recorded with another device. I basically want to use the AVS Sample Client without the audio recording part of the application because I already recorded my voice and saved it as an mp3 file. This means I propably have to convert my mp3 files to some sort of stream but I have no idea how to accomplish something like that. Can somebody help me out?

Audio data sent to AVS must be of a specific format, documented here:
