SINGLE WORD TRADEMARKS (With Example)

I'm looking to create stylized t shirts with single common motivational words in the design, never multi-word phrases. Are single commonly used words such as 'intrepid', 'fearless', or 'strive' always in the clear? Below is a possible trademark issue I found for the word 'strive'. Thanks in advance!

The Links for USPTO don't stay linkable, as they clear the search after a while. I looked at STRIVE though & I would say you are NOT OK, as there seems to be two 025 (clothing) ones I could see. One was for footwear only. But, the other was for most apparel. inc. T shirts, it's live so I would stay away!
