ask cli init freeze

Hello everyone!

Currently trying to use the ask-cli, but I'm having a lot of troubles with it.

After installation of Python, setting up 3 or 4 PATH Variables, the install now works without any error.

Still, I can't use

the init command. Everything seems to freeze.

I tried to go with ask init -p <profile_name>, everything works fine, but as long as I accept authorizations on the web page that is opened, I'm redirected to a localhost:9090 app that my browser is totally unable to load.

I searched for ask init --no-browser option and it is freezing as well

I'm using ask-cli 1.3.3 with node 10, and Windows 10.

Thanks a lot!

Gaëtan

Hello Gaetan,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Is there any service which is running on 9090 port in your system. Did you tested on firefox and chrome browser?

Please make firefox as default browser and then run $ ask init. This will open your browser to provide credentials.

I have noticed this behavior as well when running ask new on my windows machine.

After providing the list of templates, the CLI just freezes

Hi @Sattwik,

Can you download the latest ask-cli library using NPM? Please also download latest version of node.js and run these commands as administrator.

If possible please also share screenshot which help us in debugging.
