How to submit a new version with "no available device targeting options"

Hi Experts, I'm trying to publish a new version, but receive a rejection email as follows: The uploaded binary cannot be processed - A new binary cannot be created with the specified alias because there are no available device targeting options remaining. Devices must be unselected from existing binaries before new binaries can be uploaded. 1. Therefore I'm trying to find a way to deselect all the targets from my existing published version, and to therefore mark the upcoming version with target devices(s). However, I cannot find an edit option to remove my existing target devices. Is there a process or sequence that I've not followed that stops the upcoming version from being created. What's the trick to doing successful "upcoming versions"? 2. Secondly, I would like to restrict the App to only Kindle Fire HD. Can I only do this for a new App or can I amend an App once published? Many thanks in advance, Nick

Hi-- Please find answers for your questions below, 1) If your app is "Rejected" and if you want to add a new version, chose "upcoming version" tab in Developer Portal, you can chose which device you want to support. If your app is in "Pending", similarly while uploading a new binary file you can be able to chose which device you want your app to be supported. In either the case, you do not need to deselect existing target devices. 2) You cannot restrict an app to a particular device once published. You need to chose which device you need to support before submission. Can you please submit a contact us to Amazon where we can check your app details and provide you more information related to this. Thank you.

OK, so you didn't check the status of the App. The App is approved, live, taking orders, but I want to issue an update. So, what's the trick for submitting an update to an App. How do I get around the "no available device targeting options remaining"? Anyone? Nick (I have submitted a Contact Us email, but haven't had a human reply.)

Hi, you will get the message "no available device targeting options remaining" when you have a naming convention issue for uploading binary file. When you are submitting an update to the app, that naming convention should follow your "App ID+App name". Please find the link - https://developer.amazon.com/ftp/ftp_naming_convention.html for more information on naming convention. Thank you.
