Why my app on Amazon is way underperforming compared to Android, Blackberry

Hello! I've posted a while ago my app "Frog Race 3D" on Amazon app store, and since then it's been getting miserable 1-2 downloads per week compared to several hundred downloads per day on both Android and Blackberry. That gives a figure of a thousand times worse performance than on those two platforms. Back then I thought it was due Amazon market being small, and left it at that. Not long ago I've decided to give it another try, because Amazon have made a number of great devices, and It seemed less likely that there are 1000 times less Kindle Fire users than Blackberrys. So I've uploaded a latest version as new app, and payed careful attention to details about availability. Review report said it was compatible with all of devices. So far I've got no luck with new version either (2 downloads total). I don't have access to actual Kindle device, because they don't sell it in Russia, and even if they did as far as I know Amazon Store won't work here. So I can't tell if it's discoverable from actual device. I've checked web front end of the store and wasn't able to find it in newly arrived apps, and while searching by keyword "frog" I've managed to find it in 180-ish position. Google store shows it among first five results when searching by that word. I don't believe my app is that bad, because I've had very similar experiences on two different platforms, and they were drastically different from what I get on Amazon. Ratings are averaging 4.5* and several hundred downloads per day. Here's the link so you can see what I'm talking about. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shutemov.frogracegl Here I get no downloads and no ratings nor positive neither negative, nothing! Please advise me what is so much different about Amazon App Store and why can't I get any exposure or discoverability for my app. I've become quite desperate in my futile attempts to distribute my app through Amazon app store. Thank you, Victor

Hi Badbud, Thank you for writing to us. We are sorry to know that your app is not doing well in Amazon App Store. But you could certainly do few things to improve the app visibility in Amazon App Store. All apps in Amazon Apps are discoverable by tens of millions of Amazon customers. Amazon's automated and targeted marketing and merchandising algorithms provide a unique and personalized shopping experience for every Amazon customer. The Free App of the Day is our premier curated promotion in Amazon Apps. Each day, the app we select is featured in some of the most visible placements in Amazon Apps, including placements on mobile devices and Kindle Fire. These placements and the exposure they provide drive significant traffic to the featured apps and allow the developers to grow their installed base quickly. It is common for apps to be downloaded more than 75,000 times on the day they are featured as the Free App of the Day. That volume of new users can generate great word-of-mouth publicity for your app and also provide a compelling opportunity for you to monetize your apps downstream through features such as in-app purchasing and advertising. If you'd like to nominate your app for inclusion in the Free App of the Day program, locate the app within the Distribution Portal, and on the Availability & Pricing tab, find the Free App of the Day (FAD) eligibility option at the bottom of the page. Check the “Yes, please consider this app for the program” box. We ask the developers interested in promoting their apps on Amazon provide a written proposal indicating their suggested promotional ideas (e.g., exclusive marketing opportunities, online site placement, participation in our Free App of the Day, informational statistics on app performance, etc.). Please explore the marketing form located at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/html-forms-controller/Mobile_App_Marketing_Request Before you get started on the marketing proposal, please review the following participation guidelines: • Please be sure to submit all submissions for promotional placements 4 weeks before the date specified for the placement. • Amazon will communicate acceptance of proposals and run dates via e-mail. • Please note that you are responsible for the accuracy of information regarding your apps. Please submit complete screen shots/icons/thumbnails, descriptive text, and other relevant information on the app information page (via the Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal). Amazon will use commercially reasonable efforts to see that accurate information is represented on the site. Content updates can be made by submitting correct information via the Distribution Portal. Changes should be visible within 14 days prior to the app availability date. Once the marketing proposal form has been submitted, you will be redirected to the Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal. Proposals will be processed on a first come, first served basis. We will be reviewing proposals on a weekly basis. If your request is approved, you will be contacted by an Amazon representative. Hope these help you to get more installs from Amazon App Store of your app. Thanks.

I didn't do any promotion on both Android and Blackberry either, nevertheless my App Frog Race does much better there with several hundreds to more than thousand installs per day. Here I get 1-3 installs per week! Is that the way it should be? Come on, it's more than 1000 times less installs per day than on either of these platforms! I even tried reuploading my app as a new product, didn't help! It must be not visible or something, can please somebody check it? I don't have a kindle device to do that, I would be happy to buy, but I've heard it won't work in Russia.
