Why is our application still Under Review after twelve weeks?

We submitted our application to Amazon on July 5, and it has been "Under Review" for most of the time since then, without any communications or actions from Amazon. We have green checkmarks on all six tabs in the Developer Console. We have not received any notice of a code defect nor have we been rejected. We have sent five or six messages asking for someone to explain the delay, and we have only gotten form letters back, saying that someone will contact us. No one ever does. Based on what other developers are saying on the forums, it takes an average of two weeks for Amazon to accept or reject an application. Ours has been in limbo now for twelve weeks! I tried calling other Amazon Help Desks and found people who wanted to help me, but could only point me back to the app department. I was given the name of Scott Edison ( sedison@amazon.com) as being the right man to contact. I have sent him two emails over the past week, with no response. Can someone please help us break this log-jam? It's really hurting the business prospects of our application!

UPDATE: After posting my original message on this forum, I received a brief email from Scott Edison stating that he had contacted the appstore team about my company's submission and assuring me that they would address it. That was on September 27. As of tonight, we still have seen no movement on the status of our application (it's still "Under Review"), and we have received no communications from anyone at Amazon. I forgot to mention in the original post that we had tried cancelling our submission so that we could resubmit it, but we were blocked from cancelling it. Is there anyone on this forum who has had a similar experience? If so, what did you do to get Amazon to help you solve it? It has now been 13 weeks since Amazon put our submission into this limbo!

Guys, honestly, you need to fix the app submission process. I too got stuck in the submission for weeks. Do whatever validations you want, but the error messages should be clear.

Ok, I have been in limbo with my application since July of 2021, it is now the end of September. I have sent several "contact us" forms and got the same generic reply about the application approval process. On the website, it says it takes 14 days to approve or deny the application. I have gotten no movement on my application, it is hurting my creative flow and hurting my business prospects, it is only a matter of time before my ideas turn into someone else's ideas and I lose business and the drive to want to do anything at all. Amazon you need to be more clear about your approval process or find a way to speed it up, this is damaging to you and anyone else who wants to go into business!
